Unmasking Facebook’s Hypocrisy: Facebook’s Selective Censorship

Social media platforms like Facebook hold an unparalleled influence on global discourse. Proclaiming itself as a champion of freedom of speech, Facebook’s selective censorship actions are clear proof they are no different from the oppressive dictators who control the flow of information to protect their narrative. This morning, Facebook showed its true motive of protecting the Zionist entities and protecting the evil regimes across the Muslim world by attempting to silence the truth.  Facebook shutdown many of the official pages of Hizb ut-Tahrir, including America, Australia, Britain, and the Netherlands.  They fear what we have been able to do! We are engaging with the millions of people who visit us hourly/daily to get the truth.  In the past few weeks, Muslims have been visiting our social media platforms to get information about the massacre that is occurring in Gaza and to learn about the treacherous regimes that are protecting the Zionist entity.

With its presence in various countries, including America, Hizb ut-Tahrir has been vocal about global and domestic issues. The party has played a significant role in exposing false narratives, addressing issues across the globe, addressing the Muslims in the West to maintain their identity, and other critical issues for Muslims.  Facebook’s decision to shutdown the Hizb ut-Tahrir Facebook page is a clear reminder of the platform’s power and its ability to silence voices that challenge false narratives. While Facebook is based in America, a country that prides itself on freedom of speech—the platform seems to be selectively applying these principles, showing they only protect the speech when it falls under the narrative designed in Washington, DC.

The recent events in Gaza have brought to light the brutality and violence faced by our brothers and sisters in Gaza.  Hizb ut-Tahrir across the West has been protesting and bringing awareness to the masses about the betrayal of the regimes who can help their brothers and sisters in Gaza. Still, they allow their military hardware to stay idle while truly protecting the Zionist regime and Netanyahu.

This past weekend, we saw protests in the West organized by Hizb ut-Tahrir in Washington DC, Chicago, London, and Amsterdam.  These protests highlight the open betrayal by the regimes who can liberate Palestine but are doing nothing with their tanks, naval vessels, fighter jets, and the other tools needed to liberate Palestine.   These protests are empowering the Muslims in the West to raise their voices to help the Muslims in Gaza.  These protests went against the “official” narrative that Facebook must protect.

Facebook’s decision to silence Hizb ut-Tahrir during this critical time conveys a clear message: voices that challenge the status quo and seek to reveal the truth are unwelcome on the platform. This move highlights that the true purpose of Facebook is only to promote the narrative being designed in Washington, and you cannot challenge the narrative, no matter how evil and fake it is.   Facebook’s actions serve as a clear example of the hypocrisy within the platform. Despite presenting itself as a guardian of free expression, its selective censorship exposes a different reality in which dissenting voices are muted, and narratives supporting the massacre of Palestinians and the protection of treacherous regimes are endorsed.

Facebook, or any other platform, can attempt to silence the truth, but they will never be able to.  Haqq will always prevail over falsehood.

وَقُلْ جَآءَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلْبَـٰطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًۭا

“Say, ‘Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart.'” Surah Al-Isra (17:81)
