The Reality of the Calls for De-Escalation in Palestine

Whatever the underlying political agendas maybe over Palestine, fundamental realities remain constant:
The sanctity of Al-Aqsa has been desecrated and needs to be cleansed from the filth of the Zionists.
The blood of the Palestinians, their lands, properties, honour and children need to be reclaimed and protected.
Palestine is occupied and needs to be liberated completely – nothing less is acceptable.

Calls for the de-escalation and cessation of violence in Palestine that rumbled in the background have come to the fore, with the US leading this call – though, it should be clear that in the space of the past week, the US has blocked three UN resolutions condemning the Zionist aggression while defending the Zionist entity’s continued   onslaught of Gaza while de-escalation is being discussed.

Even if the UN resolutions were passed – they are not worth the value of the paper they are written on. It is the UN that formally legitimised the illegal Zionist entity; and as the Zionist entity repeatedly and flagrantly violates international resolutions, the UN remains impotent and toothless.

The calls that de-escalation and a cessation of the violence will bring reprieve is flawed. In the aftermath, there is no reprieve.

Rather it is riddled with sharp stings: the destruction of basic essential infrastructure; the physical and mental misery; the fear of the next attack; forced evictions and burning of farm lands; and the continued brutal occupation – that the Palestinians have experienced, daily for over seventy (70) years. What reprieve? These are the stings which Prophet (saw) reminded us about, when he said:
“The believer does not allow himself to be stung twice from the same hole.” (Al Bukhari No. 83, Muslim No. 7690)

The context of this narration is pertinent and an important lesson. After the Prophet (saw) captured Abu `Azza, a poet, on the Day of Badr, the Prophet (saw) released him on the condition that he would not fight or insult the Prophet (saw) again. However, Abu ‘Azza started again to insult and attack the Prophet (saw). Then he was captured in the Battle of Uhud and he asked the Prophet (saw), to release him again but the Prophet (saw) refused, replying, “The believer does not allow himself to be stung twice from the same hole.”

How many de-escalations have there been over the past 70 years before another escalation took place? How many times have we been stung? Repeated brutality, destruction of infrastructure, denied access to basic needs, forced evictions, bloodshed, and desecration of sanctity of Al-Aqsa and its surroundings? What reprieve? What reprieve is there from this brutal criminal that is protected by false promises, empty condemnations and crocodile tears of the many Abu Azzas’ over these 70 years – whether it is the illegal Zionist entity, the United Nations, the US, Europe and the treacherous regimes in the Muslim world.

And at the end of each de-escalation, every Abu Azza’ seeks to reap their political spoils and inflict more hardship and compromise upon the people of Palestine.

It is enough! The Muslims should not get stung again – whether it is Palestine, Syria, Burma, Libya, Xingxang. We have all seen the faces of Abu Azza.

It is enough! The Muslims don’t require de-escalation. The Zionist entity needs to be dealt in a permanent and final way and ensuring the protection of Palestine and its people.

It is enough! The Muslims don’t require de-escalation. The Muslims require and demand a permanent end and solution. This is the removal of the illegal Zionist entity and the liberation of Palestine under the authority and protection of the Khilafah.

It is enough! The armies of the Muslims need to move to liberate Palestine to answer the call of their Iman, to answer the call of Al-Aqsa, to answer the call of the people of Palestine, to answer the call of their ummah – we are calling you…and for you receive our love and more importantly receive the honour as sons of Salahudeen Ayoubi that Allah (swt) will bestow upon you, as Allah (swt) reminds all of us:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اسْتَجِيبُواْ لِلّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُم لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ
“O you who believe, answer the call of Allah and the Messenger to that which gives you life.” (TMQ Al-Anfal 8:24)
