Two weeks after the Orlando shooting the facts about the shooter is conflicting the media angle of the “Radical Muslim who pledged to ISIS”. It turns out the “radical Muslim” Omar Mateen (the shooter) was:
- Gay – He attended the same gay club for years, his former gay partner said the massacre was “revenge, not terrorism” (Omar’s former partner claimed the mass murderer acted out of revenge after finding out one of his partners was HIV positive)
- Secular – From his father to his ex-wife have said he was NOT religious at all.
- Mentally Unstable – His ex-wife states he was “mentally unstable and mentally ill”
The FBI tried multiple times to lure Omar Mateen to an entrapment case, but failed. The FBI targeting Omar would make sense as the FBI has a long record of targeting mentally unstable people for their FBI entrapment case. The largest coconspirator for all successfully prosecuted terrorism case in America has been the FBI themselves. The FBI through their informants push the violent thoughts and terror plot on the person who is being entrapped. Was the FBI involved to make the matter worse for whispering violent thoughts to Omar Mateen?
These questions will never be challenged on the mainstream media that needs to feed the 24×7 media channels with analysis from so called terror experts. What sells more “Mentally Unstable Gay Afghan Male Kills for Revenge” vs. “ISIS Terror Massacre in Orlando”? The latter obviously! We must be extremely critical of the media’s narrative of the events that have taken place. The facts are coming slowly by slowly, and the media is finding it harder use the “ISIS, Radical Islam” narrative on the attack as Omar’s secret gay life keeps getting exposed.
Since the shooting the Senate has introduced more surveillance (spying) legislation that allows the US intelligence community to collect data on American on the pretext of counterterrorism, even though the NSA surveillance never stopped a single terrorist incident. Politicians are exploiting the shooting to further the spy program against people in America, challenge the 2nd and 4th amendment and use this to their benefit for the 2016 election.
Muslim leaders and groups must not fall in the trap of condemning actions that they have no control over. The condemnation angle is what the media and the politicians want to further push their anti-Islamic agenda, and to collect sound clips of politically unaware Muslims that help the fuel the fire of Islamophobia. The media is still using the picture of Omar with his kufi on versus the widely circulated shirtless picture of Omar from a gay dating website, they focus on his infrequent mosque visit versus his frequent visit to gay establishment and they will continue to for as long as they can milk it.
