Sherief Zayed – The media spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Egypt – has been arrested by the Egyptian authorities. He will be subjected to a 15 days’ interrogation, after being charged with “undermining the regime and seeking to overthrow it”, and for calling for the Caliphate in Egypt.

Zayed was also accused of insulting the Egyptian president Sisi and the Azhar scholars in his latest article in the Rayat newspaper which is produced by the central media office of Hizb ut-Tahrir.

May Allah free him and may He deal with the oppressors of Egypt and the Muslim world.
