Boycott and Treachery

It was recently reported that two women in New Zealand, Justine Sachs, who is Jewish, and Nadia Abu-Shanab, who is of Palestinian heritage, are facing a civil lawsuit from a pro-Zionist group after successfully calling for the singer, Lorde, to “take a stand” against the Zionist policies toward the Palestinians by cancelling her concert in Tel Aviv.

In the grand scheme of things, their actions do not amount to much, since Palestine does not need moral posturing or celebrity boycotts. Palestine requires physical liberation––every inch of it.

However, the actions of these two women magnify and expose the deep cowardice, treachery and shamelessness of the Arab, Iranian, and Turkish governments. While these two women only commanded words, these regimes command armies. While these two women could only request, these regimes could demand action. While these two women could at best expect a boycott, these regimes could expect liberation.

With their limited means, incorrect methods, and objectives these two women demonstrated character, care, and courage to counter the Zionist state––qualities that are woefully absent in the regimes, which only move further towards normalization. Jordan, Egypt, and Turkey already retain diplomatic relations, growing economic ties, and military coordination with the Zionist state. So it comes as no surprise when reports appeared in major media outlets in the US, sourced to former U.S. and British officials, suggesting that the Zionist state has been conducting clandestine airstrikes in northern Sinai, all with the apparent blessing of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sissi.

And Allah (swt) warns:

إِنَّمَا يَنْهَاكُمُ اللَّهُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَأَخْرَجُوكُم مِّن دِيَارِكُمْ
وَظَاهَرُوا عَلَى إِخْرَاجِكُمْ أَن تَوَلَّوْهُمْ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُمْ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

“Allah only forbids you befriending those who made war upon you on account of (your) Deen, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up (others) in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them, these are unjust.” (TMQ Mumtahina 60:9)

Putting this all in perspective:

    • Egypt has deployed its army in Sinai.
    • Turkey has launched an air and ground campaign, termed operation ‘Olive Branch’ into Afrin, in North-western Syria
    • Iran has sent its weapons, soldiers, and money to protect the Syrian regime
    • Jordan deploys its soldiers on UN ‘peacekeeping’ missions around the world
    • Saudi Arabia and the UAE have sent their armies and weapons to Yemen

But none can send their armies to liberate Palestine and protect its people? The utter shame of it.These regimes are the first line of defense for the Zionist State and the first line of attack against the sincere sons and daughters of the ummah seeking to re-establish Islam and return the honor and dignity that rightly belongs to the Muslims.

These regimes only bring contempt and shame upon themselves. Prophet Muhammad said,
“Every traitor will have a flag on the Day of Judgement to identify them according to the amount of their treachery; there is no traitor of greater treachery than the leader of the people.” (Bukhari / Muslim)
