The tensions in #Tulsa and #Charlotte continue to reflect that America and the West will never bring equality to its people. A byproduct of Capitalism is institutional racism that has a long documented history from when the natives were killed and expelled from their own land to the current state of inequality in African American and Latino communities here in America.
The Prophet SAW said almost 1400 years ago “All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.”
Racism will continue to exist in America and the current political climate has added more fuel to the fire. Americans need to ask themselves how can the “land of the free” continue to have massive racial tensions even after slavery has been abolished, civil rights law were passed, and so on?
Last week the world watched black, white, yellow, red… all together on Arafat performing the Hajj. Islam removed the notion of skin color, and made us look at other Muslims as purely as “one brotherhood”.
