Announcement of the Sighting Result of the New Moon for the Month of Ramadan 1436 AH

“The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful” [Al-Baqara: 185]

Praise be to Allah (swt) and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and upon his family and companions and those who follow him (saw), and those who follow his steps and made the Islamic creed the basis of their thoughts and the Shariah rules as a criterion and source for actions.

Bukhari reported in his Sahih from Muhammad Bin Ziyad that he said, I heard Abu Hurairah (ra) say: that the Prophet (saw) said, or he said: Abu Al-Qasim (saw) said:

«صوموا لِرُؤيتِهِ وأَفْطِرُوا لرؤيتِهِ فإنْ غُـبِّيَ عليكم فأَكْمِلُوا عِدَّةَ شعبانَ ثلاثين»

“Observe fast on sighting it (the new moon) and break it on sighting it. But if (due to clouds) the actual position of the moon is concealed from you, you should then complete the thirty days of Sha’ban.”

After investigating the new moon of Ramadan, this night of Wednesday, the sighting of the new moon according to the Shariah requirements is not confirmed, and therefore tomorrow, Wednesday is the continuation of Sha’ban, InshaAllah, and after tomorrow, Thursday will be the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan.

On this occasion, the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, the eminent scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, may Allah protect him, congratulates the Islamic Ummah on the blessed month of Ramadan and asks Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala to send the powerful victory to this Ummah, and therefore Islam will be implemented as commanded by the Lord of the Worlds, and will be spread to the world by way of Dawah and Jihad, and brings humanity out of the darkness of Kufr to the light of Islam.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir call upon the Islamic Ummah as a whole, to take a great stance, which pleases its Lord, and accomplishes its duty, and liberates the Ummah of this great sin, and the great conspiracy. A stance that removes all abomination placed upon it, and restores its prosperity throughout its land. We now find the Ummah’s revolution in the pure land of Ash-Sham, defying all odds, and facing the fiercest plots.

Indeed, the Western leaders have realized that the establishment of the legitimate Khilafah State is just around the corner, they are petrified for what they witness of the fall of the colonial systems, which they have drafted carefully on the basis of the Sykes-Picot accord, and the Ummah is now engaged in a fierce struggle against the colonizing West and its agents and tools of Muslim rulers who panic to see the fall of their thrones, set up by the West; they were put in place as guards to prevent the movement of the Ummah from returning to the law of its Lord. However, and despite all the evil plotting exerted by West against the Ummah of Islam, we are certain of the promise of our Lord and the glad-tiding of the Prophet (saw) of establishing the Khilafah state on the method of Prophethood after the demise of the oppressive ruling stage which is gasping its last breath these days…

We are reminded in this blessed month, which brings together Muslims in fasting and qiyyam of the greatness of the right of a Muslim over a Muslim, every violation of a Muslim’s right by a Muslim is forbidden; his blood, money, and honor, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said in his speech at the farewell pilgrimage:

«ألا تدرون أي يوم هذا؟» قالوا: الله ورسوله أعلم، قال: حتى ظننا أنه سيسميه بغير اسمه فقال: «أليس بيوم النحر؟» قلنا: بلى يا رسول الله، قال: «أي بلد هذا أليست بالبلدة الحرام؟» قلنا: بلى يا رسول الله، قال: «فإن دماءكم وأموالكم وأعراضكم وأبشاركم عليكم حرام كحرمة يومكم هذا في شهركم هذا في بلدكم هذا، ألا هل بلغت؟» قلنا: نعم، قال: «اللهم اشهد…» قال: «لا ترجعوا بعدي كفارا يضرب بعضكم رقاب بعض»

“Do you know what day is this?” They said: Allah and His Messenger know best, he said, so we thought he will rename it, he said: “Is it not the Sacrifice Day?” We said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah, He said: “which land is this, is it not the Sacred land?” We said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah, He said: “Your wealth and your honor and people (of different skin) are as sacred as this day, in this month, in this country of yours, have I not conveyed?” We said: Yes, He said: “Oh Allah bear witness …” He said: “do not go back after me as disbelievers, striking each other’s necks…”

We call upon the Muslims to place their hands, purified with the wudu’, with our hands in Hizb ut Tahrir who is undertaking a raging intellectual and political struggle, exposing the conspiring plans of the West, and clarifying to you the correct Islamic path, may Allah grant success to these hands purified with the wudu’, to establish the Khilafah on the method of Prophethood and nothing else, and may Allah bring by the hands of the Amir of Hizb ut Tahrir, the eminent scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah the manifest victory, and you may give him a pledge of allegiance to rule by the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the noble Prophet (saw), and you implement by it and in it the pure Law of Allah, and carry Islam, the call of light and beacon of guidance to the whole world.

O Army officers know that Allah will make His Deen victorious if not by your hands it will be by the hands of the sincere who are honoured with dignity to support their Deen, do not miss out on this great honor and side with the Ummah and you will win the pleasure of Allah and the glory of this world and the Hereafter.

As it is my pleasure to convey the felicitation of the Head of the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir and all of its workers to the Amir of Hizb ut Tahrir, the eminent scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, and to all Muslims in this blessed month, asking Allah Almighty to make us from those freed from hellfire in the month of forgiveness and bounties, as we ask Allah (swt) to make us witness the Night of Power (Laylut al-Qadr) and bless us with its reward.

Oh Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth honour us with a bayah of allegiance to a Khaleefah of the Muslims in the second righteous Khilafah on the method of Prophethood soon, sooner than later … Ameen, Ameen, Ameen.
