He belonged to the ancient Arab tribe of Bani Nabhan, from North Palestine. He was born in the village of Ijzim, within the district of Haifa, in 1909. He was the second Ameer of Hizb ut-Tahrir after Sheikh Muhammad Taqiuddin al-Nabhani. He comes from a well known family famous for their steadfastness in Islam.
